Teaching pharmacology in a multi-generational classroom is a challenge for even the seasoned nursing faculty member. While Wendy Kopp has developed an innovative teaching strategy that brings pharmacology to life for students, this strategy could be adapted as an interactive teaching strategy for just about any class. Professor Kopp earned her BSN from the University of North Dakota and her MSN from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. She is currently enrolled in the North Dakota State University doctoral program in adult education. Wendy is an associate professor at North Dakota State University at Sanford in Bismarck, teaching in both the classroom and clinical settings.
Imagine your students preparing for clinical by re-running a jingle in their head that covers the medications they are going to administer. Professor Kopp will share her use of digital media to facilitate students learning pharmacology. What a great way to build collaboration, accountability, and learn pharmacology in a meaningful, memorable way.
